Hello There,

Thank you for visiting our online shop!

My name is Kenneth Bashford and in 2012 I took over our Elmfield Way store from my old employer and friend David Tann.

I made it my ambition to serve our community and later the country with the best quality service and meat their money could buy. After the first year we had an opportunity to step into an old Dewsons shop in Coulsdon high street where we set up our second shop.

6 months later...

Another opportunity arose to step into Phil Labram's shop in Caterham on the hill in which we did...

6 months later... 2013

We then had yet another opportunity to take over a dream shop in Warlingham from Mr Bailey himself: "Aberdeen House" which was originally designed to be a butcher shop when it was built in the early 1900s, hence the name.

2 years later... 2015

After a successful start, we had four successful shops selling some of the best meat and providing the best service the peoples money could buy which was parallel to my vision...

There was a slight problem though... As many of our business minded customers would be able to see probably clearer than me was the saying "too big too soon"!

The truth is you can only do so much with so little and trying to sell a high quality product at less than what you need to be charging for it is unsustainable so due to many factors including a lack of parking at three of the shops led to us going kaput...

However... as many business owners know, rising from the ashes can make you stronger. In fact, we have learned a lot and this only creates a greater customer experience with a new approach to the old way of butchery.

3 years later... 2018

Recovery from insolvency and managing to rise from the embers of business.

We are back with a Vengeance and this time more savvy with much counsel and plenty of great connections...

2020 Onwards

With our second shop now open in Shirley since November 2020, the only way is forward...

                                 We thank God for everything...
